Honolulu police were called to Kapolei Middle School Friday afternoon following a brief gun scare.
The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m., about 15 minutes after school let out for the day.
According to the school’s principal, a parent came to pick up his child and happened to have a gun in the car.
Another parent saw the gun and called police.
No shots were fired.
Police say an arrest was made for a firearms offense.
