"Hope and Healing" was the name of the inaugural fundraiser for "The Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of O’ahu."
The new non-profit supports the state’s "Children’s Justice Center" which serves sexually abused children, severely physically abused children and children who witness a violent crime.
Proceeds from Saturday nights wine tasting event will go towards buying bags, clothes, toiletries and blankets for children who go through the center.
The money will also be used to pay for specialized training for police and social workers.
