For the first time since the first week of Fall Camp, the 1-8 University of Hawaii Football team has a competition at Quarterback.
Head Coach Norm Chow announced at his weekly press conference Monday, that Junior Sean Schroeder will split practice reps with Sophomore Jeremy Higgins this week, with the Saint Louis graduate Higgins, taking the first snaps with the first team.
Through 9 games, Schroeder has taken a beating, getting sacked 31 times, charged with 18 turnovers as UH has averaged just 19 points per game in 2012.
As for Higgins, he has seen time off the bench in each of the last two games, having gone 15-22 for 210 yards passing with an interception.
According to Chow, a decision on who will be starting at Air Force this Friday night on ESPN2 is expected to be made "very soon".
