Former UH Warriors QB Brennan pleads not guilty to DUI

Former UH Warriors quarterback Colt Brennan entered a not guilty plea to a charge of drunk driving.

Brennan did not appear for the arraignment and plea in Kaneohe district court on Tuesday, but his attorney entered the plea on his behalf.

Brennan was pulled over by a Honolulu Police officer in Kailua back in July.

A police report filed with the drivers license revocation office says Brennan failed both a field sobriety and breathalizer test, registering a 0.17, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.

Police say he had glassy, blood shot eyes and was pulled over after speeding on Kailua Road.

Brennan had his driver’s license suspended for one year because of the arrest.

Trial on the drunk driving charges is scheduled for the week of Jan. 2.
