A Lanai native has been appointed to oversee operations on the island for new owner Larry Ellison.
Kurt Matsumoto was appointed chief operation officer for Lanai Resorts LLC
Matsumoto was born and raised on Lanai and has a long career in the travel and hospitality industry.
He will start his position on Dec. 1.
