Hawaii donates holiday gifts to Laulima Giving Program

Thanks to a lot of you many of Hawaii‘s less fortunate keiki will have a very Merry Christmas.

From Ala Moana Center and Windward Mall on Oahu to Queen Kaahumanu Center and Lahaina Cannery Mall on Maui to Prince Kuhio Plaza on the Big Island, It was a day filled with entertainment and a whole lot of giving.

The Laulima Giving Program is formerly known as the Lokahi Giving Project.

"It’s important to give because if people need the stuff and they don’t have much money then it’s good to give them because they desperately need it," said Cougar Yomono, Big Island donor.

Mary Ann Leite donated a blanket, some afghans and cuddlers she made.

"I’ve done this for about four years now so I feel appreciated and i’m sure those who receive it hopefully they appreciate it too," said Mary Ann Leite, Big Island donor.

Members of our KHON2 News team emceed the holiday drives and helped to collect donations.
