Former Gov. Ben Cayetano is resting at home following a brief hospitalization.
On Monday, Cayetano told KHON2 he was sick. A family confirmed on Tuesday that he had the flu.
Cayetano was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center Tuesday morning for treatment and was released in the afternoon.
Last month, Cayetano lost to Kirk Caldwell in the race for Honolulu Mayor.
