HONOLULU (AP) – Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s office says the governor is recovering from shoulder surgery.
Abercrombie underwent elective surgery on Wednesday to address what his office said was an existing shoulder injury.
His office says he is tending to state business from home and expects to be back in the gym and office soon.
Abercrombie spokeswoman Louise Kim McCoy says the only event on Abercrombie’s public schedule for Friday is a National Guard birthday celebration. She says Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz will attend on Abercrombie’s behalf.
