The man accused of going on a random shooting spree early Friday morning was charged Saturday night with 15 felony counts, including murder, attempted murder, and firearms offenses.
Bail for 28-year old Toby Stangel is set at $5 million and he’s scheduled to be in court on Monday.
Police say Stangel shot and killed 54-year old Tammy Nguyen.
Stangel’s parents, Mike and Karen released this statement:
"We are broken and sick with grief. Our hearts and prayers go out to the innocent families who have been affected by this tragic act. We wish we had an explanation, but there simply is none."
Stangel is also accused of shooting and injuring two others on the H-1 Freeway.
