Catamaran passenger in critical condition after vessel overturns in Kualoa

Honolulu Fire rescue crews were called to the area in waters off Kualoa Ranch Saturday afternoon after a report of an overturned catamaran. 

A fire spokesperson says the incident happened about 3:30 p.m.

Three people, two males and one female were on board the vessel at the time.

All three were taken to Heeia Kea Pier for treatment.  One of the males, a 57-year old was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The boat was towed to Heeia Kea.
