Chances are you probably know someone who had cancer.
Hopefully there will be a cure someday soon and Hawaii is on the forefront of cancer research.
On Saturday, the University of Hawaii Cancer Center held its grand opening and blessing in Kakaako.
Currently they’re conducting more than a hundred cancer research projects in the building.
In Hawaii, approximately 6,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year.
