Congratulations to retired army Lieutenant Colonel Don Arakaki.
He was honored with the Lex Brodie Above and Beyond award on Wednesday.
Arakaki is known for his work as the senior army instructor for the Waianae High School Junior ROTC program.
He also helps organize the veterans day parade in Waianae, helping with the Waianae Rotary Club and feeds the homeless.
Arakaki served 26 years in the military.
