A 78-year-old woman who was rescued from waters off Ala Moana Beach Thursday morning has died.
Officials have identified the victim as Carol Okasaki of Honolulu.
The incident happened at about 6:30 a.m.
Okasaki was taken by ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Center in extremely critical condition, where she later died.
The cause of her death is unknown at this time.
