It was a make or break performance for Hawaii singer Bryant Tadeo who was fighting for a spot in the top 20 on American Idol.
But his version of the song "New York State of Mind" was not enough to impress the judges.
Tadeo was eliminated, even though the audience gave him a standing ovation.
The judges said they didn’t see a "wow" factor in him.
Ten girls and ten guys go on to sing next week.
