Breaking: Mayor Caldwell proposes gas tax hike to help improve roads, bus service

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell was scheduled to propose a nickel-per-gallon increase in Oahu's gas tax to help pay for road improvements and restoration of city bus service as he unveiled next year's budget proposal at Honolulu Hale Friday afternoon, sources said.
