Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell has outlined his proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
One of the proposals include an increase in fuel tax by five cents from 16.5 cents to 21.5 cents per gallon.
The $15 million increase in revenue would pay for the restoration of bus cuts that are scheduled to begin later this month.
The mayor is not proposing an increase in property taxes.
