Maui police say a woman was killed Monday night after being hit by a truck in Kihei.
She has been identified as Lynette Korinko, 49, of Kihei.
Police say Korinko was crossing Piilani Highway around 4:30 p.m. when she was hit by a pick up truck near Waipuilani Road.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say the intersection does not have a crosswalk that allows pedestrians to cross Piilani Highway.
Police say the intersection also does not allow vehicles coming from Waipuilani road to turn left onto Piilani Highway.
The driver of the truck and his passenger were not injured.
Police are investigating if speed or alcohol was a factor.
