A 61-year-old woman is in serious condition following a traffic accident Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at about 7:10 a.m. at the intersection of Piikoi and Young Streets.
According to Emergency Medical Services, a driver of a small SUV was struck at the intersection and overturned.
"All of a sudden I saw a flash of white and an SUV jumping across the intersection and she got tagged in the rear fender by a blue van. And the SUV flipped," witness Lance Sutton said.
Paramedics responded and transported the victim to the Queen’s Medical Center.
Police cleared the scene at about 8 a.m.
