The Honolulu Fire Department is expected to announce details of the Fireworks Amnesty Program on Wednesday.
The program allows the public to safely dispose of unwanted or illegal fireworks by dropping them off at designated fire stations without fear of legal ramifications.
The program will run from June 18-26, then again in July.
The city’s ban on consumer fireworks.
