Some workers at Ward Center got quite the surprise while unloading a shipping container.
Around 7:30 a.m. Monday morning, workers found an opossum in their shipping container.
Workers immediately closed the container and called police.
Police and Department of Agriculture officials were able to capture the tiny creature.
The last time an opossum was found in Hawaii was in 2005, when two where found on Oahu.
Opossums are known to carry parasites and diseases.
Because no one knows where the animal came from, it will be tested for rabies as a precaution.
