A 26-year-old Aiea man is in contention to win the National Scrabble Championship in Dallas, Texas.
Kenji Matsumoto is among nearly 350 players competing for the title and the $10,000 top prize.
Matsumoto is currently ranked third after 28 rounds.
The competition wraps up Wednesday.
