Fire crews are at the scene of a brushfire near a military housing area in Wahiawa.
According to officials, when crews got to the scene around 10:35 Sunday morning, they heard a popping sound behind the homes.
They suspected a live ordnance or fireworks had gone off. But after a search, crews quickly determined it was nothing.
The brushfire did not threaten any homes and there were no evacuations.
There’s still no word on what caused the fire.
