Retail gas prices increased again throughout the Aloha State, according to the AAA Hawaii Weekend Gas Watch.

Honolulu’s average price had a four-cent bump up from last week to $4.30 a gallon for regular unleaded – up 27 cents from last month and up a dime from a year ago.

In Hilo, the average gas price is $4.36 per gallon, a nickel more than last week, 26 cents more than last month and 13 cents less than this time a year ago.

Wailuku’s average is $4.46 a gallon, seven cents more than last week, 39 cents more than last month and five cents lower than last year.

"The highest state average prices for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the country today are: Hawaii at $4.37, followed by California at $4.23 and New York at $4.00," AAA Hawaii General Manager Liane Sumida said. "Hawaiians can take a little solace that the average price for Los Angeles, at $4.32 a gallon, is still higher than the average Honolulu price of $4.30."
