Accused murderer ordered to undergo third mental fitness exam

The man accused of killing Waianae High School teacher, Asa Yamashita, will undergo another mental fitness examination.

Tittleman Fauatea was back in a Honolulu courtroom,

Judge Richard Perkins ordered the exam.

It will be the third fitness hearing he has undergone, with doctors finding him fit to stand trial, then not fit.

Fauatea is accused of stabbing Yamashita at the Ewa Town Center in March of 2009.

He’s charged with second degree murder.

The third fitness test results could take a few months.
