Lawyers from the Hawaii State Bar Association were busy answering your calls in our Action line Department on Tuesday.
They offered free legal advice about bankruptcy and loan modification.
"And one of the key factors is contacting the lender and finding out what their specific requirements are because every bank has a little bit different regulation with documentation finding out what they need, making sure you have that info and then from there you may need legal counselor depending upon the situation," said attorney Miriah Holden.
On Wednesday, volunteer lawyers specializing in landlord-tenant issues will be manning the phone lines.
