It happened on the H-1 freeway westbound near the Palama street off ramp early Monday morning.
Police say the motorcyclist lost control and veered into the path of a lincoln navigator.
The motorcyclist was a 51-year old man, he was not wearing a helmet and police say speed may be a factor.
The driver of the suv was not injured.
