Alaska Airlines begins flying from Oakland and San Jose to Honolulu

Alaska Airlines started its nonstop daily service between Oakland and San Jose, California to Honolulu Tuesday.

The carrier already serves Kauai, Maui and Kona on the Big Island from both cities.

Alaska Airlines now offers 35 flights a week from the Bay Area and Sacramento, California to Hawaii.

Since October 2007, Alaska Airlines’ service to Hawaii has grown to 22 daily flights from eight cities on the Mainland.
