Arakawa gets rare run support in 7-5 Rainbows win

University of Hawaii Baseball team (21-13) won for the seventh time in eight games, beating Saint Mary’s 7-5 Saturday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

Sophomore Pitcher Jarrett Arakawa (4-3) earned the win despite giving up three runs in the first inning. The Iolani graduate went seven innings, giving up six runs, with five strikeouts. His offense though, which has given him an average of just 2.63 runs per outing this season, stepped up for him Saturday.

Third baseman Collin Bennett went 2-3 with four Runs Batted In. UH and SMC wrap-up their four game non conference series tomorrow with a double-header starting at 11:05am.
