Army Sgt. Michael Nickerson is the latest recipient of the "Lex Brodie Above and Beyond" award.
Sgt. Nickerson is being recognized for his volunteer service with the wounded warrior project and arranging an "Adopt a Local Troop" program that raised money to send care packages to soldiers overseas.
Nickerson has served three tours of duty overseas, two in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
