A police investigation led to lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway during rush hour Friday.
Honolulu police say three officers were injured while trying to catch car break in suspects.
Police closed two town bound lanes of Kalanianole Highway near Laukahi Street at around 2:30 p.m.
Officials say plain clothes officers were following suspects who were driving a stolen vehicle.
The suspect’s crashed the car near Laukahi Street and tried to run away.
Alison Joyce who witnessed all this said, "I was laying on the couch and all of a sudden I heard this huge commotion and usually we hear cops coming down the road all the time but it was way more than usual. So my husband got up and looked out the window then all of a sudden this guy came running from around the side of the house ran up our steps ran in the back of our house. They all looked like they were on drugs."
Three people were arrested.
