Barricade situation in Kalaeloa ends after nearly 8 hours

Honolulu police say they have someone in custody after a nearly 8 hour barricade situation in Kalaeloa.

Police were called to the scene at Guadalcanal Ave. near Bougainville Ave. around 11:30 Saturday night.

Volunteers with the American Red Cross also responded to the scene and provided food and drinks for residents who were temporarily evacuated.

Police say the barricade situation ended at 7:13 a.m. Sunday.
