Hawaii County police arrested a 28-year-old man for a burglary that happened during Saturday’s tsunami evacuation.
Kalani Ahuna was arrested on Thursday at about 4:30 p.m. for Burglary of Dwelling During a Civil Defense Emergency.
He’s being held pending further investigation.
Police ask that anyone with information about Saturday’s string of burglaries call the department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
