A 24-year-old man from Laupahoehoe has died from a motorcycle crash Sunday.
Officials say it happened around 4 p.m. on Kalanianaole Avenue in Keaukaha, in front of Leleiwi Beach.
Police say the man was heading towards Hilo when he lost control. His motorcycle ran off the road, hit a rock embankment, then a no-parking sign, and he was thrown from his vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police believe had been speeding at the time of the accident.
