Big Island structure fire

Just after 5 p.m. Tuesday night, fire fighters on the Big Island responded to a structure fire in Ka’u.

According to neighbors, the structure had been abandoned for some time.

The structure eventually collapsed due to fire damage.

100% of the structure was damaged by the fire.

The loss of the structure is estimated at $40,000.

The cause is unknown and still under investigation.
