Board of Water Supply investigating possible leak in Waikiki

Board of Water Supply crews are investigating a possible leak on a 24-inch water transmission main on Kuhio Avenue near Lewers Street in Waikiki Monday.

The work will involve closing two eastbound lanes of Kuhio Avenue near Lewers Street from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. 

A contraflow will be in place in the westbound lanes of Kuhio Avenue.

From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., crews will be closing the two westbound lanes of Kuhio Avenue near Lewers Street and a contraflow will be in place in the eastbound lanes of Kuhio Avenue.

Crews will be utilizing special equipment to collect data and identify leaks in the water mains.  If a leak is detected, a planned repair job will be scheduled to fix it.
