The body of a Hawaii-based soldier killed in Afghanistan is back on U.S. soil.
The remains of Specialist Richard Essex were brought off a plane at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware Sunday.
Essex was a door gunner on the Black Hawk that crashed.
He was one of seven U.S. troops killed, four of which were stationed in Hawaii – believed to be part of the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks.
The Pentagon has not released the names of the other U.S. troops killed or said if the Black Hawk was based at Schofield.
