Big Island police are investigating a body found in Puna.
Shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, a county lifeguard reported finding a partially submerged male body near the shoreline in the vicinity of Isaac Hale Beach Park in Pohoiki.
The unidentified man appeared to be in his 50s.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning to determine the exact cause of death and to assist in identification.
