‘Bows win second straight, Punahou/Kahuku advance into D-I boys basketball state title game

University of Hawai’i baseball team (3-3) has won back to back games for the first time this season. UH rallied to beat Wagner (0-2) in game two of their five game series at Les Murakami Stadium on Friday night.

Despite striking out seven Seahawks in 5.2 innings, starter Jarrett Arakawa earned a second straight no decision. Reliever Brent Harrison (1-0) earned the victory, going 3.1 with 2 strikeouts. Hawaii trailing, 2-1 in the bottom of the sixth scored three runs in the bottom of the frame en route to the win. Senior 3rd baseman Collin Bennett went 2-4 with 2 RBI, while extending his hitting streak to 11 games dating back to last season.

Series continues tomorrow with a double header beginning at 3:05pm at Les Murakami Stadium.
