A 4-year-old boy died after apparently drowning in a swimming pool.
The boy’s lifeless body was found just before 6 p.m. Sunday night at the bottom of the pool at the Oasis at Waipahu apartment complex.
Neighbors tried to help.
"I heard someone screaming that they need somebody that knows CPR so I came around the corner and i saw the guy pulling him out of the water and I came in and started administering CPR," said neighbor Joshua Webster. "He was gone way before I even got there he was probably on the bottom for a while."
Officials say the boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
