Boy scouts across Oahu made a large donation to support the Hawaii Foodbank today.
Scouts collected canned goods as part of the first "Scouting for Food Drive" and brought their donations to the Canstruction site at Pearlridge Center.
"He did it all, he went door to door and I just stood there and watched and he told everyone who he was with and what it’s for and he worked hard at getting his cans," said Greg Bird, father of a boy scout.
Scouts who donated at least 100 cans of food received the inaugural scouting for food patch.
All donations made to Canstruction will go directly to the Hawaii Foodbank.
