A man on a diving excursion died after being pulled from waters off the Big Island Wednesday.
He is identified as 59-year-old William Savage, visiting from Alberta, Canada.
Big Island Police say while on the tour savage was knocked off some rocks and into the water.
When he failed to surface other tour members pulled him to the dive boat.
He was taken to Honokohau Harbor. From there fire rescue crews took savage to Kona Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
