Kamehameha Highway was closed in both directions in the area of Heeia Kea Pier after a vehicle accident.
Police say a driver fell asleep at the wheel and hit a utility pole.The accident occurred just after midnight. The driver was not injured.
The highway was reopened shortly after 5 a.m.
