Central Pacific Bank Foundation gives $50K to Kapiolani’s Campaign for Hawaii’s Children

The Central Pacific Bank Foundation presented $50,000 to the Kapiolani Health Foundation on Monday in support of its Campaign for Hawaii’s Children.

Co-chaired by Dee Jay Mailer and Bert Kobayashi, the Campaign will raise $30M to fund the first phase of a 15-year master plan to rebuild Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. The gift from CPB brings the current total raised for the Campaign to over $20.6 million.

"This is a critical donation for the Central Pacific Bank Foundation," CPB President and CEO John Dean said. "We are honored to continue the legacy of Hawaii’s past leaders, who shared our conviction that a world class children’s specialty hospital is a cornerstone of a strong community-and one that must be continually supported by all members of the community in order to ensure that our families receive the care they need and deserve."

"Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, like the CPB Foundation, has an important role to play in ensuring Hawaii families and communities are thriving," said Michael Robinson, president of the Kapiolani Health Foundation. "We are proud to receive their generous gift."
