Former UH All-American and 2004 NCAA special teams player of the year, Chad Owens, was named the Canadian Football League’s East-Division Most Outstanding Player today.
Following a record-breaking regular season run where he became the first pro-football player to ever post three straight 3,000 total yard seasons, the Honolulu native and two-time Toronto all-star included 94 receptions for a league’s best 1,300 plus yards and 6 touchdowns.
The overall league M.O.P. will be announced on November 22nd. The Roosevelt graduate and his Argonauts will host Edmonton in the Grey Cup semi-finals Sunday night in Toronto.
