Chamber of Commerce buys ad time for Lingle’s run for U.S. Senate

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is buying ad time for a commercial supporting former governor Linda Lingle’s bid for U.S. Senate.

The 30 second spot began airing today.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce says the purpose of the ad is to highlight the republican candidate’s stand on issues impacting the economy, including tourism and job creation.

Lingle is running to fill the seat being vacated by Senator Dan Akaka.

Mazie Hirono and Ed Case will face off in the primary for a general election spot on the democratic ticket.
