HONOLULU (AP) – Several Kauai County road projects scheduled this month have been changed because of the weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
An update Monday from the county engineer says re-striping of Haleko Road in Lihue has been put on hold indefinitely because it may be changed to a one-way street.
Re-striping of Koloa Road has been rescheduled. A date that has yet to be determined.
Crews on Tuesday are to use heavy equipment to fill and place sandbags along Aliomanu Road in Anahola.
Lala Road in Lihue is to be cleared of mud this week.
The historic Hanapepe Bridge is to be closed for an hour at 8 a.m. on Thursday and Friday for flood tests.
It is to close Monday when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers inspects the Hanapepe Levee.
