City crews pick-up neglected bulky items from University Avenue

Last night we shared the story of a neglected bulky item pick-up site on University avenue.

Debris had been piling up for three weeks after city crews failed to get to the area.

Then a fire broke out last Monday, scorching a utility pole.

This morning, about 12 hours after our report aired — city crews had removed all of the items.

The city says residents should expect their normal service next month.
