City workers will remove a city shower tree on South King Street fronting the Straub Clinic and Hospital Saturday.
The Division of Urban Forestry examined the tree and determined that root pruning is not possible without destabilizing the tree.
A replacement shower tree will be planted shortly after the removal work is completed.
