U.S. Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock’s book, “The Crooked Places Made Straight,” draws repeatedly from the prophet Isaiah to remind us of the obligations of faith. But one does not have to be a believer to agree with his observations about what our shared humanity and citizenship demand of us in these very vexing times.
