The distant sound of a saxophone drifted through empty Kamamalu Park Friday. Besides one woman sitting in the far corner, the playground was empty. On the opposite end of the field, underneath the awning of the comfort station our camera told a different story. Tents and makeshift shelters sat crowded together blocking the path to the restrooms.
